Miraculous Eyesight

Our eyesight is such a miracle!  Since 10 years old, I have used glasses for distance and this loss has helped me appreciate my eyesight.

Because of my ministry, I carry a compact Bible all the time in my purse.  If my ability to see this very small print starts to blur, I pray for clear vision.

The people my age and even younger use reading glasses or bifocals but I do not.  This miracle came to my attention in church last Sunday when people around me keep asking how I could read such small print.

The only answer I could give was, "God."  The Lord Jesus heals and will come to us, any where at any time.

Thank You, Jesus!

A Gift Of Health

Looking back at 2015, there are many experiences that stand out.  One unusual thing was menopause.

After meeting so many women with horrible stories of suffering from going through menopause, I was curious about what it would be like for me, because Jesus takes such good care of my health.  Well, it was very uneventful.

At first I thought maybe I was pregnant but after eight months of no symptoms, I decided it must be menopause.  I experienced no suffering, needed no medication and the only symptom was no menstruating, which was great.

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for Your gift of good health for me.  This free gift is available 24/7 anywhere for everyone through prayer!

Miracle Healing

I spent this past week at the hospital with a friend that was supposed to die.  He had sepsis, which is a deadly internal infection, and with his other health issues the doctors said that there was to way he would survive.

So we had lots of people in many different churches praying, and God answered, yes.  Instead of dying within the week, he was back home in three days because the infection in his body had disappeared.

Praise The Lord!! The healing power of Jesus Christ is only a prayer away.

Prayer Instead of Pills

When I went to teach someone this past week, he told me that studying the Bible would be impossible because the pain was so bad.  The pain killer the doctor prescribed wasn't working and the new medicine hadn't arrived yet.

This was a wonderful opportunity for prayer, so that's what we did and the pain left.  He couldn't believe that Jesus would relieve his suffering.

I explained that this is how it works for Christians.  Jesus wants to do things for us, and He wants us to do things for Him.

A close personal relationship with Jesus is the best gift we can give ourselves.  Since he loves everyone, all we have to do is ask Him.

Healed In Bed

My husband woke me up in the middle of the night hurting from head to toe but especially his legs.  I felt his forehead and he was burning up.

We thought maybe it was the flu but didn't know.  After giving him 2 aspirins, we prayed for a complete healing and went back to sleep.

The next morning he felt great, and we knew Jesus had healed him.  Aspirin only relieves symptoms and its effects would have been long gone.

Only the Physician Jesus still makes house calls.  Thank You, Jesus, for healing my husband!

Tribulations Happen For A Reason

Whenever we experience trials and tribulations, it is important to understand, “why,” because this is our opportunity for spiritual growth.  After my daughter was conscious and coherent from her near death, I asked her if she knew why this happened and she said, “yes.”

She explained to me how she wasn’t taking care of herself nor listening to God and He wanted her attention.  She stressed that He has it in a big way now!

In her excitement about living for Jesus, she emphasized that she was doing better than ever before in her life.  Out of our difficulties and struggles can come miraculous spiritual growth and a closer walk with our Lord.

A close personal relationship with our Lord Jesus gives us supernatural love, peace, joy, comfort, support, acceptance, protection, strength and security.  This awesome power through Jesus is only a prayer away!

Stress Reduction

To keep our relationship close, I tell the Lord if I'm too busy for a visit during the day to wake me up at night.  I get woke up quite often.

This last week He woke me up for a sermon topic on stress.  The following is a short version on how Christians can reduce their stress by following God's advice.

1) Trust God has a plan and will make a way, so look at the situation from His perspective.
2) Understand that trials and tribulations provide a necessary opportunity for spiritual growth.
3) Pray continuously about everything because supernatural help is required for effective stress relief.

Humans are not created to have ongoing stress but this relief can only happen in the freedom we get from a close personal relationship with our Lord Christ Jesus.  This release from bondage is only a prayer away!

Give Your Health to Jesus

It surprises me how so many Christians that I advise or meet go to secular doctors for treatment.  I ask them if the doctor is a Christian and prays for them.

The answer is either, no, or I don't know.  I recommend that they pray for protections from the side effects of their treatment, and they look puzzled.

Do they think the whole medical field is God inspired, like the Bible?  While I know that God sends some Christians to be doctors, they are usually in the mission field to save both souls and lives.

However, all Christians have the Great Physician Jesus Christ to heal any physical or mental illness for free.  His healings and directions are available 24/7 by prayer, but sometimes requires repentance from disobedience.

The Miracle of Change

To be a Christian, we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior from sin and the Lord of our lives, but this is just the beginning.  While His gift of eternal salvation is easy to receive, relinquishing our control is very difficult.

To avoid total surrender, I compartmentalized my life and only assigned certain areas to Jesus.  My favorite area I kept was diet because I knew He wouldn't want me eating junk food.

However, I couldn't pray for spiritual growth without being called on this hypocrisy.  So, I decided to bring Jesus grocery shopping with me.

He took away my junk food cravings and His suggestions of eating healthy with less sugar seemed very reasonable.  Life is so much easier with Jesus!

Supernatural Guidance

From my own experiences, I noticed that prayer requests are mostly about health and finances.  Christians wouldn't need my prayers on these issues if they received their own guidance from the Lord.

I don't ask others to pray for me about health and finances because spiritual growth is what I need with those other things just being symptoms.

After preaching about God wanting a revival at my church, I became very sick.

I prayed for healing and if I should go to the doctor.  After no response, I then asked the Lord if I would die.

When He answered, no, that I would overcome this, I knew it was just a test to pass.  Supernatural direction and guidance is just a prayer away!

My Weekly Healings

Once again I found myself praying this week for healing.  However, these ones were not about illnesses but accidents.

I stepped off the porch right into a hole and twisted by ankle, which led to lots of prayer.  Then I reached down to pick up something and got a splinter under my nail.

While I feel very blessed by Jesus for my healings, I realized that maybe I could have avoided these problems with a bit more sleep.  When working for the Lord, I discovered that I needed to sleep when I could before the next adventure.

Pray For Miraculous Health

When thinking about which miracle to write about, I noticed that one I asked for a lot was healing.  I suspected too much sugar and not enough exercise was a problem, but I decided to pray for confirmation.

The Holy Spirit told me that human bodies are not created to exist on man-made chemicals, processed food or a sedentary lifestyle.  Oh, no, give up my caffeine, chocolate and fast food while taking up daily exercise!

Now this will be a miracle.  Thankfully, miracles like this are only a pray away!

Pray For Healing

One of the advantages to being a follower of Christ is healing.  Since our physical bodies are for learning, they often suffer and need help.

If God told me to go to the doctor or hospital I would, but instead I've prayed and been healed many times.  Some of my numerous ailments have been from a scratch to such severe pain throughout my body that I couldn't move.

Sometimes the healing is immediate, sometimes I have to do something, sometimes it takes a few hours and once in a great while I have to endure it.  The easiest solution should always be tried first because God's cures are free and do not cause more pain or any side effects.

Healing can be just a prayer away!

Reduce Dramas and Stay Healthy

People wear out their bodies from excessive emotion due to constantly activating the Fight or Flight Syndrome.

When the mind perceives danger and physically creates changes in the body for a person to run or fight, this constant repeated mental and physical stress causes internal damage that wears the body out.

The American Medical Association says that stress causes about 80% of illnesses and 60% of people die from their stress. So before reacting to a situation, people should ask themselves if this is worth being sick or dying over.

Eliminate the Negativity & Be Healthy

Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, "See, you are well again.

Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you."

What is Mindful Eating?

To understand mindful eating, first you need to understand mindless eating.

The definition of mindless is to act without concern for consequences.  Mindless eating is a term Brian Wansink of Cornell University and author of Mindless Eating defined for reference of eating triggered by cues other than hunger.  Mindless eating could be therefore defined as eating without concern for consequences related to cues other than hunger.

A study published in 2009 estimated an average of 66 days to form a new habit but it could take anywhere from 18 to 254 days.  Drinking a daily glass of water became a habit very quickly but doing 50 sit-ups before breakfast required more perseverance.  Some may be more resistant to changing habits than others. It may take a person who wants to develop a relatively simple habit over two months of daily repetitions before the behavior becomes a habit.

The first step to changing habits is to identify the behaviors that lead to mindless eating.

They are many reasons for mindless eating, from internal to external cues.  Some examples of internal cues are

  • stress

  • anxious

  • lonely

  • bored

  • depressed

  • tired

Some examples of external cues are:

  • watching TV

  • social situations such as

    • parties or holidays

    • don’t stop eating until your plate is cleared

    • or someone else is encouraging you to eat.

The next step is to recognize the cues causing you to eat mindlessly.
They may be ones mentioned above or for other reasons.

  1. Pick one or two habits that trigger mindless eating.

  2.  Write down the behavior you want to change and the more desirable replacement behavior.

  3. Post it in a highly visible location.

After you have accomplished new habits to healthier behavior, you will be ready to make new goals until your eating habits are mostly mindful eating.

Remember to be patient with yourself because new habits take time to form.

My Ideal Life

When, I missed my opportunity for a vacation this year, I really did not mind. I realized that I already felt relaxed because I am living my ideal life.

My life is about having a career I love, continuing my personal growth and enjoying the company of people I love. Even when I have problems, they are an easy fix as long as I am realistic about the situation, keep in mind the experience I want and stay true to myself.

Tuesday for example, I got up in the morning at 7 a.m. and ate breakfast, went to get a contract notarized for my daughter and then came home to walk my dogs around the lake and through the woods. Next, I went to my Tai Chi class and afterwards, met my boyfriend at the gym for a swim in the pool.

In the afternoon, I ate lunch with my boyfriend at Subway and then came home to repot my plants, pick the last vegetables out of the garden and work on my business. My evening consisted of a quick supper, reading a great book, meditation and prayer.

Of course my days vary, but I always try to make choices on what experiences I want and balance the needs of my mind, body and spirit. After all, the purpose of physical life is to learn and love, which includes being good to myself.

Seeking Visionaries

My business has provided me with the opportunity to meet and help some wonderful people that have enriched my life greatly with their beliefs and ideas. I would classify all of these people as visionaries because they search for the knowledge to improve their lives (as in the big picture) and not just solve a problem.

Visionaries are creative thinkers that recognize the benefits of an open mind and facilitating change to obtain their dreams. These people work hard and utilize self-discipline to become the amazing individuals they were born to be.

It has been such a joy working with these people that I am always seeking more visionaries to teach. Individuals that want to gain life-long applicable skills for happiness, confidence, peace and health.

Grow Old and Stay Healthy

The older I get, the more I hear about health problems from my peers, but I have nothing to contribute. I have not been sick in two years and do not have the "normal" back problems, arthritis, headaches, PMS, asthma, allergies, etc.

From my own experiences, I recognized years ago that stress causes illness. Discovering that the American Medical Association acknowledged 70% of illness caused by stress was a wonderful validation.

The first 30 years I had lots of stress health problems like the ones above plus, but as I gained peace by resolving my inner conflicts and ate to build my immune system, the healthier I became. At 51 years old, I feel great but my very best is yet ahead!
