Jesus Protects

Since the main roads were so clear, I decided to keep my appointments the day after a snow storm.  One meeting was out in the country and the roads were bad, so I was carefully driving down the middle because it was the clearest part, and I couldn't tell where the ditch started on the side.

Suddenly, a voice in my head said that a vehicle was coming and I must get over.  As I was thinking I don't see or hear anything, my hands moved without my control to guide my car carefully over to driving on the side of the road.

Just as I got over and around a curve, a black van came up the hill where I would have been driving.  The van just missed me, and we could have crashed without the Lord's intervention.

Usually when I have a near accident, I'm shaking and stressed afterwards but not this time.  Not only did Jesus rescue me, but He gave me His love and peace as well, so I actually felt better after the near miss instead of worse.

Thank You, Jesus, for protecting me, even when I didn't know to ask for it!  Jesus' leading is only a prayer away!

Experience God

Humans are created to experience God through a close personal relationship with Christ Jesus.  Many people have told me that they experience God in sunsets, nature or gardening.

However, experiencing God's creation and experiencing Him are two very different things.  Can we have a relationship with someone by looking at the art he or she created?

Experiencing someone requires back and forth communication.  This means we must pray for a relationship with Christ, who is always waiting for us to talk with Him.

Do Not Judge

Our Heavenly Father loves us so much that He gives us what we need for spiritual growth.  Sometimes we need healing and sometimes we need discipline.

The Lord uses me to help some of the Christians being disciplined.  And since I've been there many times myself, I'm very sympathetic.

Without the Lord's loving correction, we would continue hurting ourselves and others.  A very common sin that we get disciplined for is judging others.

Over and over in the Bible, God tells us not to judge others but when we love this sin more than we love Him, this will continue.  Supernatural improvement is available through prayer for anyone that sincerely wants truth.

Trust The Bible

I have talked with many people that do not trust the Bible because of its inconsistencies between translations.  However, this is easy to disprove.

So, I ask them how many translations they have read, which is usually one.  Then I tell them that I've read 10 different translations wrote by different people that represent different countries from different times in history with the earliest being in 1611.

With only occasional small changes in wording, the themes in all these Bibles remain the same.  How could this happen without supernatural help?

God wants us to know that He loves us so much that He came as Christ Jesus to redeem whoever believes in Him.  This spiritual birth into an eternal life begins with a sincere prayer wanting Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
