Being Good Partners

Since March is my physical and spiritual birthday, I asked the Lord to give me a gift this month.  And what I wanted was spiritual growth and left the details up to the Lord.

In the same night of my birthday this past week, my husband and I had similar dreams with the same themes.  Our dreams were long, so I won't go into details, but I will share the themes, which are the important parts for spiritual growth.

Both of our dreams had the same three major points, which are as follows.  My husband does not agree with what I am doing, he becomes involved in my life choices but worries about it and these decisions endanger our relationship.

While we agreed this was a reflection of our life together, the best solution to this problem was prayer.  As Christians, we have the perfect marriage Counselor, Jesus Christ.

Jesus will teach us how to be good partners, because He wants His followers to be a loving team.  This applies not only to married couples, but to all of our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Doing God's Will

I've discovered that doing God's will can be difficult.  First I need the ability to know His directions from my own sinful desires and the devil's input.

This discernment comes from knowing the character of God through the Bible, with recognizing His voice/presence from experiences and by asking for affirmations when in doubt.  The Lord always gives confirmation of His directions, like feelings of supernatural love, signs, dreams, etc.

Sometimes the guidance I need is encouragement and this is what I prayed for this past week.  He gave me a dream with tribulations but I prayed to Jesus for help, so I could rescue a child and make it to safety, which I did.

Not only do I pray for help when I'm awake but in my dreams, also, and this one gave me the strength to persevere.  There is power in the prayers of loving, obedient, sincere disciples of Jesus.

Spiritual Maturity

As a Christian, I'm amazed and overwhelmed with the loving sacrifice Christ Jesus made for us.  And as a follower of His, I want to seriously do Luke 9:23, which says I must deny myself and take up my cross to follow Him.

So I prayed for the Lord to teach me and He answered me in three dreams.  In each dream I was busy but not accomplishing anything, and then my left hand hurt so bad that I woke up.

I looked at my left palm and saw a read circle in the middle, so each time I prayed for healing, received it and the first two times went back to sleep. As I was thinking in the morning after the third dream, the message became very clear.

Only with Jesus as the Lord of my whole life can I achieve spiritual maturity.  Thank You, Lord Jesus, for my spiritual lessons!

My Birthday Gift

Since it was my spiritual birthday as a Christian, I asked the Lord for a gift.  He gave me five dreams to explain how I am doing.

In my first dream, I learned that I am halfway to being a mature Christian.  I asked how I could improve and He answered me in the next dreams.

The next two dreams showed me how I waste my time trying to rescue pets and people that don't want it or need it.  Then in the fourth dream, I am surround by people at a party that want to hear about Jesus and love Him.

So I ask how I can have this in my life.  In the last dream, I see a body in a tomb and am told that I must die to myself.

What an awesome birthday gift!  Spiritual growth is only a prayer away!

Spiritual Lessons In Dreams

Since I pray daily for the Holy Spirit to make me more Christ like, He uses all types of supernatural teaching methods.  One of these is dreams.

Some spiritual lessons I have learned from dreams are that I must take direction from God or I will miss out, people are not my enemies but helpers and opportunities, we are in a spiritual battle against evil, I am not alone because lots of people are following Christ, I must tell about my relationship with Christ more and the spiritual journey is not about the adventure but love.  

I once received a song, "Joy Unspeakable," in my dream as an answer to my question of what life would be like if I followed God's will 24/7.

While this made for many restless nights of sleep, my spiritual growth jumped leaps and bounds.  Spiritual lessons are only a prayer away!

Remember Dreams

When in a relationship with our Creator, it is important to use all forms of His communication.  I have learned and been told many things by God through dreams.

Mostly, He has used dreams to change my thinking and make me a kinder, more loving Christian.  However, I wanted something special for 2014, so I prayed for a prophetic dream before going to sleep on New Year's Eve.

The Lord gave me a dream that night to direct and inspire me.  In a very short version, He told me it was time to rise up and begin.

All of us are called to follow our Creator's plan that He has for us.  God's direction is only a prayer away!

Praying For Spiritual Growth

Almost everyday I pray for spiritual growth and leave it up to the Lord on the "how."  One day I was in my Tai Chi class when a distraught man interrupted us to exercise.

I felt angry but my teacher welcomed him.  He shared a very sad story and then the class ended, so we left.

As I walked away, I thought how strange this all was and realized I didn't even offer him any help.  So, I went back into the room but he had miraculously disappeared.

This was even stranger, so I prayed that evening for a dream to explain it.  I dreamed God came to me as in a fiery cloud with a booming voice and told me to follow Him.

He took me to these people from a book I had been reading.  They kept asking me what I liked about their book and since I did not know, I finished reading it when I woke up.

Under the signs of selfishness, I learned being inflexible and hating interruptions fit me just perfect.  With this information, I prayed for forgiveness and help to stop this selfish behavior. 

Thank you, Lord!

Learn From Dreams

Almost all dreams directly concern the dreamers about the dynamic conditions in their lives, like hopes, fears, questions, conflicts, etc.

Dreams offer people new insights from themselves or God, so they should search for both a literal and figurative interpretation.

When people understand their dreams, they know themselves, the world and God better.
