Learning Oneness

With the supernatural help of Jesus Christ, my husband overcame depression in 2014.  Our next challenge was to have harmony in our relationship, because we discovered last year how we could disagree over nothing.

This year we became closer as the Lord Jesus is working to bring us into the unity we have been praying to reach.  The most important lesson we have learned is how to listen better and not jump to conclusions.

The Holy Spirit taught us this lesson by telling us to stop and not speak before we opened our mouths to disagree.  Then He would tell us to really listen as the other person is speaking, and we learned that the other person agreed but had a different angle.

Listening is a far more difficult skill to master than speaking.  Without this miraculous correction during our conversations, we would still be clueless.

Thank You, Jesus, for teaching us Your loving ways of conversation!

Marital Bliss

After three years of marriage, my husband and I finally have marital bliss.  When we got married, I didn't expect the changes in our relationship that happened.

Marriage always brings new expectations and issues from the past, but I didn't think my husband would become depressed.  However, as Christians that God brought together in union with Him, we have some advantages.

When I did my Biblical counseling, it usually ended in drama with me praying for help.  The Lord gave my husband dreams and insights that changed him a little but not enough, until I got very sick in January, 2014.

I told my husband this illness was probably caused by stress and then he decided to really change.  As the Lord and us worked on the depression issue, it happened less and less until September of the same year.

Then the depression hit my husband so hard that I became depressed, also.  The Lord really reached out to us, restored us and taught us that when we follow His Words, we have sanity.

Our problem was believing untrue information from the world (which included family and church members) and lies from Satan.  After being "depression and drama" free for ten months now, we've began our marriage anew by putting Jesus first, so we are always following Truth, and it is blissful:-)

Experience God

Humans are created to experience God through a close personal relationship with Christ Jesus.  Many people have told me that they experience God in sunsets, nature or gardening.

However, experiencing God's creation and experiencing Him are two very different things.  Can we have a relationship with someone by looking at the art he or she created?

Experiencing someone requires back and forth communication.  This means we must pray for a relationship with Christ, who is always waiting for us to talk with Him.

An Easy Life

In a close relationship with the Lord, miracles occur all the time.  My life now has a spiritual side that totally changes my view of the world.

When God tells us to love Him first, it is not for His benefit but our own.  If we put Him first, this relationship becomes primary, so we'll seek His supernatural direction and help.

Life is easy!  The anxiety, worry, worthlessness and fear are all gone.

With Jesus as my best friend, I have nonjudgmental, loving, supernatural, perfect help 24/7 anywhere in this world or beyond.  This incredible amazing supportive relationship is available for all who sincerely seek it through prayer.

Change Your Heart!

Apostle John wrote about Jesus Christ's mission of love and salvation, along with extra revelations.

Not only did John know Jesus personally but was one of his favorites.  John wrote more about love and spiritual insights than any other disciple.

The closer people draw to the Lord, the more they will know and grow spiritually.  Only through this relationship can real truth and out-of-this-world love be found.

Strive for the greatest experience this life can offer and pray for Jesus Christ to enter your heart.

Amen!

Live The Adventure!

The Prophet Ezekiel in his Bible book of Ezekiel was God's watchman for the house of Israel.

The Lord gave him great wisdom and prophecy to perform his duties.  He had many out-of-this world experiences working for God, like with strange creatures of fire and light.

Everyone has a destiny to fill for God and when on this adventure, many unusual experiences will happen.

This mission requires great courage, faith and obedience to accomplish.  But when fulfilling this spiritual destiny, life becomes more exciting and unpredictable than any action adventure fantasy story!

Gain Spiritual Wisdom

The Bible book of Proverbs has lots of wise advice.  King Solomon wrote most of this book from his experiences in the world and with God.

The human capacity in this physical form to understand the complexities of this world is extremely limiting.  The ability for people to understand God is even smaller.

However, God calls His human creation to be the best they can be through a partnership with Him.

We are made to connect with our Creator for a successful physical and eternal life, which is only a prayer away.

Truth Brings Love

The book of Ruth in the Bible tells the story of how Ruth found love.

Ruth was raised a Moabite and her people worshiped many gods.  She married into a family of Israelites and realized the truth, so she converted to worshiping the one true God.

When real truth comes, it brings opportunity along.  The problem is discerning truth from illusion.

Ruth followed her heart and this lead to eternal happiness and love.  Not only did she become a believer, but the great grandmother of King David and ancestor of Jesus Christ.

If we truly listen to our hearts, we can all find the same happiness and love.

Enjoy Your Partner!

In beneficial partnerships, people need to be friends, which means liking, enjoying, respecting and accepting each other.

All relationships can be loving and fair, when people compromise on issues, strive for balance with give and take, work as a team, listen and discuss concerns in a fact-finding way, give sincere compliments and use active, objective communication.

While a great partnership takes work, it is well worth the effort!

Business Is About Love

If you understand your employees, you will be able to love, accept, and care for them. You want more than employees; you want allies, allies on the path of service.

Once we have created good communication and harmony in our workplace, we can extend it to our customers or constituents, and finally to the larger community.

Culture Determines Our Programming

Western children are encouraged to sleep alone and to move as quickly as possible toward independence in their thinking and choices to be unfettered free agents with autonomous identities and masters of their universes. Eastern children are taught to have a strong sense of connection to others and only see themselves in relationship to the whole as represented by their family, neighborhood, culture, Tao, etc., so context becomes important, not the individuals.

Are We Compatible?

Relationship compatibility questions come up pretty often with people, and no wonder considering the divorce rate. Problems can occur when choices are based on the subconscious desire to seek out the familiar relationship pattern learned from influential, childhood authority figures.

If the relationships were beneficial and enjoyable with these authority figures, any future attachments would be wonderful, too. However, people often have compatibility problems with them and a desire to resolve these issues, so they attempt to change the past by selecting the same type of dissimilar people for partners – and the conflict continues.

However, this situation will improve once people recognize that differences can be good and quit repeating their childhood role. As adults, people can stop reacting and start thinking before responding to a comment or situation.

Successful relationships require excellent communication, and with the greater the differences between the couple, the greater the work this is to obtain. When striving for understanding, it can be effectively accomplished with role reversal.

Role reversal is pretending to be the other person and calmly explaining his or her view for clarification, which means NO sarcasm, judgments, insults, etc. Another method is to strive for discernment by asking and answering information-gathering questions for insight and acceptance.

Along with communication, people must have a foundation upon which to build their relationship. The basis for this support is mutual acceptance, respect and values because people need to not only love each other but like each other, as well.

Good from Bad

Whenever a storm hits, I always search for the rainbow because life is a mix of both good and bad. I gained many wonderful benefits from my Father's illness, like an opportunity to study the medical system, a greater appreciation for the body's ability to heal, interesting information on how the brain works, etc.

I gained this new insight on brain functioning from this wonderful book recommend by a Respiratory Therapist named Larry at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Out of all I read, this book,"My Stroke of Insight," by Jill Bolte Taylor, Ph.D., provided the best information on what my Father was experiencing from his stroke.

This book explains clearly from both a medical and personal experience what a stroke involves. When Ms. Taylor had her stroke at 37, she worked at Harvard Medical School as a Brain Scientist performing research and teaching.

The great information Ms. Taylor provides in her book comes from both her medical and personal knowledge on how the body reacts and recovers from a stroke. It is interesting on how this data sometimes conflicts with the medical system.

In her book, I especially found it interesting on how the two hemispheres of the brain function. I know that the methods I follow stops the unbeneficial programming and when this happens, it opens up inner peace, but what I did not know was that the critical, unhelpful beliefs came from the left side and the peaceful, spiritual ones from the right hemisphere.

The human body is both amazing and mysterious. Any opportunity to discover and learn more is always a blessing.

Meeting Susan

My relationship with Susan began over email and phone calls. One of the good but sometimes strange things about working online is that often, there are times where you never meet your client in person. As a web designer, I’ve worked on several projects and had very successful working relationships with people I’ve never met. So when I do get to finally meet someone, it’s always exciting – you never know exactly how things will go but always hope for the best.

I got a chance to first meet Susan in person when she invited me to a health and wellness fair she was attending. I was surprised at how crowded the fair was as I scanned for her booth but I recognized her immediately and went over to say hello.

My first impression was how relaxed and calm Susan was. In this storm of noise and an extremely crowded isle, she seemed completely at ease. Unfortunately, I was not; wrestling with a stroller, a bored toddler and not really enjoying how cramped the space was, I was thrilled to meet but could only speak briefly so we decided to get together later when we would both be “off duty”.

Meeting Susan for the second time, I noticed even more; there is a real calm and warm serenity around Susan that draws you in and instantly sets you at ease. Kind, honest, relaxed and so easy to talk to, she truly listens – a skill I appreciate so much and sometimes I think a lost art form in itself!

As our relationship has changed and grown from client to friend, Susan can always help me put things in perspective, feel more confident and just overall better about any situation with simple truths, compassion and wisdom. That is truly her gift and I'm truly thankful for her.

A Loving Partnership

Even after three marriages, I had no frame of reference for a loving partnership. My selection of partners was based mostly on beliefs from my childhood with a few new ideas, like needing something in common.

Gaining inner peace gave me the clarity and understanding to realize that a great relationship is far more than satisfying a need or convenience. A loving partnership starts with an incomprehensible amount of mutual insights that are both surprising and mysterious, like a spiritual experience.

This spiritual relationship then grows into a wondrous adventure of learning and enlightenment traveling through both ups and downs. Beneficial partners develop a great union because they feel compelled to strive for a better and closer loving connection with each other.
